Should the British Conservatives resist media demands for detailed policy or develop these in secret and reveal them nearer the time?

it is not a matter of keeping their tax proposals secret.....how can anyone justify naming tax proposals ahead of coming into power as a government;who is aware of the situation they could inherit from new labour?the true situation in the UK is already in deficit, thousands are employed in non productive "jobs"created by new labour;all of whom are a burden on the "productive"working population;resulting in the present high taxation ;both direct and indirect. No Mr.Cameron should make no commitment at this time.

I read that he is outlining tax proposals and a detailed policy statement in his next speech at the party conference.

There are calls from the so-called 'grassroots' to reduce the tax 'burden' so that could add impetus to the calls for disclosure.

It would be beneficial to the electorate to know where the Conservatives stand and the impact any change would have on public services etc. In the interests of an informed public I think 'Dave' should give us the information.

Up the workers!
