Why cant i get yahoo spades to open, I removed my pop-up blocker. I can get into cribbage but not spades.?

I get into the room but the tables will not come on. Help!!!!

do this,when you try getting in lounge or room and it doesn't work.click on pop up blocker. always allow tab it will say recent pop ups blocked.high light yahoo.com then click allow.This is the proper way to use the pop up blocker,and in past 3 months i have never had a problem or had to hold any keys down to get in! NEXT do this to get in rooms! 1st thing you do when you get in lounge is check small windows in options box.once in room make sure you expand it to see chat area.you only see half of cards but you can still play.this also gets rid of the ads.
UPDATE! Click on my PC ,disk drive C, open windows folder,next open Downloaded programs file. click game you want to play to high lite it.delete it.Now go back to game,it will prompt you tp download a demo,do so and page will open! Your old download is stale since yahoo's new up grades.

maybe you don't have enough memory.. reboot.. try this also hold down the crtl key and then click onto table.. release key after table page shows up.. the key also works 4 reading profiles.. but hey if you change rooms and read profiles, that 2 will bring your memory down.. bummer eh

Many are having this problem since we got the new format on Yahoo Games, including myself. If your experiences with Yahoo! Games include:

getting a blank screen
nothing occurring when you try to join a table
any similar problem
You need to double-check that Java and JavaScript are fully enabled in your browser. Follow the steps below for your browser:

Netscape 4.XX or newer for Windows, Mac, or Linux

Click "Edit" in the menu bar, and then select "Preferences."
Click the word "Advanced" and put checks in the boxes next to "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript."
Internet Explorer 4.XX for Windows

Click "View" in the menu bar, and then select "Internet Options."
Click the "Security" tab.
For the Internet Zone, be sure that the Security level is set to "Medium" or below. (If you 've chosen to customize your Security settings for the Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set to "Disable Java." You'll want to select one of the three safety levels instead. Also be sure that under the Scripting heading, "Scripting of Java Applets" is set to "Enable" or "Prompt.")
Next, click the "Advanced" tab.
Scroll down until you see the subheading "Java VM."

Note to Windows XP users

By default, the Windows XP operating system comes with the Internet Explorer 6 browser without the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed, which is required to run Java programs such as Yahoo! Games.

If you install Windows XP over an existing installation of Windows that already has Internet Explorer with a JVM installed, then you should be able to play just fine.

At this time, Microsoft no longer provides a download of the JVM if you do not already have it installed. You're welcome to contact them for information on where to find and download this program.

However, you have the option to download Sun's Java plug-in by visiting

Sun is the creator of Java, and their plug-in will allow you to play Yahoo! Games.

Internet Explorer 4.5 or 5 for Macintosh OS 8-9

Select "Edit" from your menu bar and choose "Preferences..."
Then, click the "Java" bullet within the Web Browser section.
Make sure that the "Enable Java" box is checked.
Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh OS X

Select "Preferences" from the "Explorer" menu.
Select "Java" from the left navigation bar.
Place a check-mark next to "Enable Java."
You may also want to clear your cache and restart your browser. I did this too.

If you continue to have problems, double-check your computer's compatibility with Yahoo! Games.
If you click on and off many pages or get booted trying to sit at a table with higher ratings than yours you will get booted. Happened to me twice last week. Yahoo has a spam tracker now!
