stay away from fat, cleanse your face every morning and night and make sure you moisturize it after cleansing to avoid over drying. The product i use and which recommend is Palmer's cleanser for preventing acne and opening pore.

You can't prevent it entirely but you may be able to minimize it. Acne is infection that results from overproduction of sebum, an oily protective substance produced by sebaceous glands in the skin. An over abundance of these glands results in too much sebum. It blocks pores and causes infection. The results are comedos (pimples). Antibiotics such as tetracycline are sometimes used to treat severe cases but they're never used as prophylactics (preventive measures). Acutane is another possible option. Foods do not cause acne. Keep your skin clean. Use OTC acne products for outbreaks. Most brands come in a skin care system - cleanser, toner, acne lotion. You may want to try the ProActiv skincare system. I believe they have a website where you can buy online. Resist the temptation to squeeze as this can cause further infection and scarring. Time will take care of acne for most individuals.

Yo should make sure that ur face is clean always. this means u should wash it before bed, when u get up and any other time u see that it is dirty. you should stay away from junk food, pop, candy chocolate and fried foods, these will all add to your problem. u can try to use over the counter stuff to help ur acne but it is better to go to your doctor and ask for somthing. what he persibes will be better then anything you get at the store. i find the store stuff does not work, like clearasile. also dont pick at it, u will ony get scars and a lot of times it will go away sooner if you dnt pick it. good luck

Wash your pillowcase often and always use clean face towels. Dirty towels and pillowcases can harbor bacteria and germs that can make acne worse.
Be sure to pull your hair away from your skin when you sleep.
Try to shower as soon as possible after your workout since sweat combined with skin oils can trap dirt and bacteria in your pores.
Don’t go to bed with makeup on. It can clog your pores and lead to breakouts.
Make sure to clean cosmetic brushes regularly in soapy water and throw out old, contaminated makeup.
Use topical treatments, such as Nature's Cure Vanishing Cream, anywhere that you tend to get breakouts - don't just spot-treat existing pimples. The pore-clogging process happens 2 to 3 weeks before any blemish becomes visible on the skin.

Pretty much in my experience acne is genetic, you can't run from it. probably one of your parents had it when the were young. i went to a doctor and he prescibed Acutane, it cleared everything up in a matter of weeks.
