Use a flexible rod or brush, a company called dino makes them. Also check your outdoor drain, to make sure the blockage isn't there.

The clog may not be in your toilet. It may be much farther away in your pipes. Normally, anything causing a removal to have to be done will be pretty solid like a toy or cosmetic lid.

Household bleach works the same as Drano and costs less. Try it first. Use a small snake available inexpensively at Home Depot, Lowes, or ACE Hardware.

Turn off the water going to your toilet and flush it a couple of times if possible. Otherwise, unscrew the hose from the wall and drain the tank into something big enough to hold the water. Pop off the caps covering the mounting bolts at the base of your bowl. Remove the nuts and you can remove the entire toilet. It will be heavy. Get a new wax sealing ring and press it around the opening enough to make sure it stays in place as you remount the toilet. Tighten the nuts just enough to compress the wax ring and touch the floor with the base of the bowl. If you over tighten the nuts, the bas and bowl will crack.

If you find nothing in the toilet causing the stoppage, call a router rooter or plumber.

You need a good plunger. If you have to take it off, you must unbolt it from the floor via the two bolts on either side. Once you remove a toilet, you most likely will need a new wax ring. Good luck and have fun!
