To the one who said Internet dating is pathetic. My sister is married to a man in the Military. And let me tell you, internet dating is all those men and women have anymore. It seems they spend more time online together than physically together. And I met my husband online. I am so happily married. I believe that It doesnt matter if you met online or race, you let your heart tell you what means the most. Everyone has different priorities. You should definitely physically meet, but don't rule it out. The best things happen online to me, My husband and i got to know each other so well because we fell in love with each others personalities and intelligence, not each others body or some feeling of comfort just to physically have someone. And we appreciate each other more than most couples because we know how lucky we were to actually be able to come together and make a family...

Its well known fact that unless you have MET...you wont have a clue how they smell. If you dont know how they smell, you have no idea whether the chemistry is real. Pheromones are the major, one item of love that is all consuming.

Looks are very important too...not good looks or anything like that...just....well if you've ever been in a big place with lots of people....you might fancy a couple of guys...but rarely ALL of them...even if they are all goodlooking...they might not be to YOU. Photos dont usually portray people well...nor does webcam.

You have different cultures, you havent met.....you might dislike him at first sight or love at first sight...and he likewise. WORDs on the internet mean nothing. We can like or love someones words...even if the person is totally gross to us in person.

I think, if you both "love"...and that wont be swayed you should meet asap because you will always be bothered by a fantasy.

I can tell you I have actually met about 50 guys from internet meetings...and "loved" how we clicked and rejoiced at our dates...but only had feelings for 2 in the end. One a platonic friendship and another I loved but he didnt love me back.....even though we had spoken for ages. Chemistry is real and your communications are NOT....they are just a friendship/flirty thing with a HOPE to be more.

I think you should date more and get off the internet...unless he can produce his self into a real date. Even then...as you know with any REAL boyfriend...you have to have access on a daily basis for a long time before you get to kow the real him. If you cant move and he cant....quit believing in a fairytale because you could be getting real attention/cuddles from a neighbourhood lad instead of a sexy penpal (who may or may not be attached/married...you only know what he tells you).

I think you need to seriously consider if it will be worth giving up your family if they find out you are with someone they may not approve of. I am all for being with someone you truly love but make sure it is a lasting thing.

well, what does he think of you?

how old are you? if you are not a full adult, do your parents know? how will they react if they find out?

where do you want to go with this relationship?

i don't need the answers to these questions, but you do. think about what you are doing and where it will take you in the future.
