When somebody talks about voodoo and magic that creeps the heck out of me even when it is almost Halloween!!

I love Halloween and Voodoo and magic. Halloween is more important to me than any other holiday. I wish every month had a Halloween at the end of it!

No, it does not. And if you were properly informed, it wouldn't scare you either. Voodoo and magic are not the same things. Voodoo (and its many permutations) is a recognized religion and as such deserves as much respect as any other religion. Magic is a tool of the will, used to change one's own reality. There's nothing to be afraid of. You've either watched too many movies or listened to too many silly stories.
If I seem a little testy it's because I've been a witch for over 20 years, and I wish I had a nickel for everyone who's said something like this to me. I could retire at 44. People who learn what earth religions and Voodoo really are about are no longer scared.

Never creeps me out because I practice vodou and magic. It is my everyday life. Halloween really has nothing to do with either of these. Although there is a Vodou holiday close to halloween.
