Sabbatical where, Jupiter? You have to be kidding. Just in case you're not, yes, he is dead. He died on September 4 of a stingray barb to the heart while filming underwater.

Yeah a sting ray (a normally docile animal) pierced his heart when he was swimming with it. He was filming in the Great Barrier Reef at the time and the whole thing was caught on tape. His wife said it will never be released. They had a great memorial for him. Check it out at www.youtube.com

Yes he is. He died from a stingray barb in the chest while snorkelling in Batt Reef off the coast of Australia.

sadly yes he is, he was killed by a sting ray while filming, the barb on the end of the rays tail pierced his heart.

Yes he is dead,and I heared that his friends are tring to kill stingrays because that is what killed Steve and Steve would not have liked that!!
