they are the standard papers to put the house in my mother's name. It doesn't say much. Just that they give her permission to sell the house or blah blah blah, her attorney told her that is the sis does not want to sign there is another way of doing it, but could not tell her at this point, do you know what other way it could be done?

If the papers don't say much, then they don't do much, and probably aren't worth the legal fees.

My guess is that the papers say a lot, but that your question doesn't say much.

There's lots of ways to transfer property, it just depends on what everyone wants to do, and even some involuntary ways that probably don't apply to most families (foreclosure, adverse possession) and some that do apply, like setting aside a conveyance for no value to a family member.

If you're involved as a principal in this transaction, your lawyer isn't doing his job if you don't understand what's going on.

If you're not involved as a principal, the lawyers are not required to explain anything to you, and if they're decent lawyers, are probably too busy to spend time on something they aren't paid to do.

Apparently an attorney has already answered the question. There's no such thing as "Standard papers" & "blah, blah, blah," contains no information from which to second guess or add anything to his answer.
