To express feelings of Happiness, Love, Joy, Encouragement, Sorrow, many other things...The person giving the card wants the person they are giving it to, to know they are thinking of them, for whatever reason...Some cards have the words that some people are not able to express possibly otherwise...It is also a tradition for many occasions...
