That percentage has nothing to do with the actual M & Ms. For all we know, you may get an unrelated container & place the M &Ms in there.

Well, there are 300 total M&M's in the container. So the percentage of each type is the number of them divided by 300. You do the rest.

300 total of which 100 are plain. To determine the percentage we divide 100 by 300 which comes out to .3333333..... or roughly 33 percent.
