I live in a terrace house. There is a very small yard (about 1 metre by 3 metres) seperating the pavement from the front door. I try to keep this area tidy as its the entrance to the house. My neighbours use their front yard railings to hang their washing on - like gipsies. They even hang them on the railing that seperates our 2 properties. Oh, and they have a big smelly black dog that lives in the front yard and jumps up over the clothes. They also have a load of junk in the front yard.

This behaviour baffles (the back yard is much larger and I dry my clothes there) and disgusts me. Do you agree that they are mingers or do you think this is ok?

Ha Ha Valerierackly - I see you really are a gyppo minger. Maybe when I move out you could move in and set up your Gypsy camp there!

Oh deary Groid,

Poor you, Of course you're right. They are being inconsiderate errrrrrrrrm or just not very bright. My advise is to have a word with them politely and ask them to remove the washing. If they are mingers they won't listen. errrrrrm you could poke the clothes off of the fence with a stick. MWHA HA HA HA XX

They're mingers. Why don't you buy yourself a little detached number. Don't know where you live, but in my area you can get a four or five bed property (new build) for just under a million quid.
Bargains.

May be they dry faster in the front yard, or if they live in an area like most around here, your washing will get nicked.(that's if you don't wear minging clothes). and may be the smelly dogs to keep you from getting too close.
Or are you just a snob.
you could always mind your own business or move.

You could find out if they're simply poor or otherwise disadvantaged first, before judging them. If they seem otherwise okay, strike up a conversation. See if they would like to be your neighbours.

Caution, though: If they're dangerous - looking people, or they're getting bad press from other residents on the street, a reputation for causing trouble, it's then likely you do have Neighbours from Hell, and will have to act accordingly - but you must see them in action first before judging.

Pop round with an "old" whirly gig, which "a mate was throwing out" and offer it to them as a subtle hint that they might want to use it.
P.S. a minger, for those of you who don't know is someone who has bad manners or personal hygiene

MINGERS!

No that's not normal, are they related to gypsies, does the dog have three legs and there's a 'tatters' van parked outside. Do they offer to Tarmac your yard? Do they offer to cut down your trees or tell you your future?

ah poor thing yes they are mingers, i would report them if i was you. my neighbours used to have geese in their garden and their was no fence separating the houses. they used to attack you every time you went up to my door, if you didn't get the key in the door quick it was like a battle Field , so glad they moved

I've never encounted the term "minger" before. That said, these wankers are DEFINITELY mingers.
