some states they can fire you for anything without even telling you , but if they fired you and told you it was because of stealing and you can prove them wrong you might have a case

Find a lawyer and sue them. If they didn't prove that you stole anything, then they had no right to fire you. Now, if it's just a matter of "they didn't prove it in court," but they have some pretty good evidence against you, you may not win. You don't have to be convicted to be fired.

If you really did not steal anything, you need to clear this up so that it does not affect your future employment opportunities. You can also sue to get your unemployment.

I have one question though: Why would you love a job where they accuse you of stealing when you did not?

Well for one u have to check if u havent violated any of the company's rules usually found in the Code of Conduct or some like document. This prevails over even the law as u must have signed it when u got employed.
Other than that u can very easily file a case for wrongful dismissal although you'll probably need an awesome lawyer.
Hope this is some help.

An employer does not have to press charges or get a conviction to fire someone over suspected criminal activity. They would be cautioned about references, however, without such proof.

Also, did you appeal in applying for unemployment and have a hearing? Apparently if you did, there was enough case for the UC people to deny you, and as an employer, that takes a lot of proving!

Laws are different in every state but you should definitely contact a lawyer and get some advice!

Find a new job. Your old job usually wont disclose why they fired you or you can sue them.
