specifically after they are carved for Halloween. They usually don't last until 10/31....

I use hydrochloric acid to remove the skin and then soak the bones in bleach to whiten them. After a salt-water rinse, I shellac them and run wires through the joints to reconnect them.
Oh, wait, you said pumpkin. I have no idea.

replace them or try this when you have scraped out the guts and cut the eyes out leave it outside to dry and then paint the dried insides with varnish it may make them last longer but it's a lot of effort for 1 holiday dont you think, i'd just use the 1 over the week before halloween and then throw it in the bin.

My dog usually destroys them after about a week of being outside, but I am up in New York. Maybe try putting them in the shade somewhere.
