Anosmia is the most general/common term. I have no sense of smell, but have perfected bluffing it at Christmas (for presents such as aftershave) and other appropriate moments... e.g. every once in a while say something like "Mmm, is that a new perfume you're wearing tonight? It smells lovely" to your girlfriend; there is a slim possibility that it is new, but you get points for the compliment either way, even when they remember you can't smell anything a few seconds later :)

Worst problem with having no sense of smell is it really spoils the enjoyment of good food/drink. On the flip side, pooper-scooping after the pooch is not nearly as terrible.
