I love grilled cheese sandwiches. The best was made by my ex for a carpet picnic we had. Something about the butter and the cheese he used, the fact that I was starving, and the fact that it was the most perfectly cooked grilled cheese sandwich ever.

You know how good it was? That was 1994 and I still remember it. That's a darn good sandwich.

Yes - and grilled cheese with tomato or pepperoni or tuna are all really good too. Only way to ruin a grilled cheese sandwich is to burn it up!

I make an AWESOME grilled cheese sandwich. Sometimes, I put bacon or fresh tomatoes in there too. Yummy.

The worst I've had was in a school lunch. It had been sitting under the heat lamp and was all dry and gross. Ick.

The best grilled cheese sandwich I had was made with thick slices of sour dough bread, thick slices of mild cheddar and swiss cheese, and thick slices of smoked bacon, grilled in garlic butter on a flat grill. And it came with a really delicious bowl of chunky tomato soup. Everything after that was bad...lol

My stomach rumbles with discontent. It argues that there is no such thing as a bad grilled cheese sandwich though, being British, it does prefer cheese on toast with brown sauce...

Oh, bad was when the cheese wasn't melted but the bread was burnt. (Let's turn those burners down a bit, shall we?)
