I know the area but I don't know the family you are speaking of. Try going to this website http://www.privateeye.com/Search/People/name.htm

If you search "bobby adams" there is a "robert adams" in that age range who is associated with Cutoff and Galiano, LA which are both near Golden Meadow. You have to pay to see the whole report. They have some other family names associated with it so if you get out a phone book and start calling you might get lucky.
