My son started coughing this morning. It's like a dry throaty cough. I checked his temperature and it's normal and he isn't stuffed up or have a runny nose. He isn't pulling at his ears. He's acting pretty normal other than seeming to have a little what looks like lite diarehha. Any ideas?

when i had my first child i would get nervous and run to the doc with everything .... maybe they got tired of seeing me or something.... but he gave me the guidelines of when you need to go to the doctor 1. if the child has a fever above 100 degrees which cannot be controlled with medication2. if a fever lasts for more than 3 days even if it is being controlled through medication 3.if a fever is accompanied by diarrhea or vomiting 4. if a cough persists for more than three days 5. if the baby seems listless or is unable to be consoled ..........my guess on the cough is that it is prob getting a little chilly at night where your at maybe u recently started using your heater and this has dried the air out try running a vaporizer not a humidifier i don't care what anyone says they aren't the same go with the vaporizer as for the diarrhea give him gelatin water it helps them retain fluid .....really...just make it like kool-aid and look for any blood or mucus in the diarhea ...... good luck hope the baby feels better .......mom of 3

OMG!! Take him to the EMERGENCY room NOW..He has a COUGH??...

Just kidding...realy. Its normal to overeact to baby cough/diarehha, especially if its your first baby.

This could be an irritaion of his throat(dry throat, needs a drink) or somthing that simple.

If he has nothing other then that little cough and the little diarehha , then your baby should be fine. If it keeps up more then a couple days you may want to make an appotinment with pediatrition.

Its probably allergies, they can form at any time. My daughter takes Children's Claritin, they have Infant Claritin too. Also, what works great everytime my daughter starts getting a cough, cool mist humidifier running all night in her room, Vick's baby rub on the chest, and Delsim cough syrup-- Another thing to maybe discuss with your pediatrician, he may have a little lactose intolerance? A cough AND diarehha may indicate this..

My daughter was like that when she was teething. Just give her pedialyte for the diarehha.
