TMI, definitely. Just tell them you were ill. That's enough.

WOW how times have changed - when I was at school it was a letter from your parents (or you if you were good at your parents signature) LOL

If you go to a Dr and get a certificate they only ever write medical condition they never go into detail so there is no need for you to go into detail just that you are sick and should be back to school tomorrow or the next day.

Depends on the kind of teacher they are like if they'll believe you if you JUST say you're sick. Some may think your faking so it would be ok to release that additional and specific information. I typically will give a general description like "I'm having flu symptoms" or "I received some troubling news regarding a family member", etc. Hope it goes well~

That's too much detail, but don't just leave it as "feeling ill'. Not enough info may make your teacher believe you're making up excuses. Saying you have a stomach bug is a good idea.

Your parent should write a simple note explaining that you were out of school because you were sick. No details needed. The only time you need anything more specific is if you're out for an extended period of time... in which case you usually need a note from your doctor.

If your teachers are'nt too strict, just telling them you have a bug is enough. My old teachers would have wanted a phone call,a note from parents when I returned and probably the contents of my sick bag !

You don't need to give them any more information than they would give you. When a teacher's substitute comes in and tells you she's filling in because your regular teacher is sick, she doesn't give you any details. You don't really need to give any details either.

You're parents should be calling your school for you. It is not your responsibility. If you are in college, your professors will understand why you weren't in class when you go back in the next day, and if you miss a test they will reschedule it for you...they are pretty understanding.

Were you throwing up all night? well, better keep it to yourself...is too much info, that might seem to them you are trying to make it appear bigger than it really was.

Going into too much detail will make your teachers think you are overselling because you are skipping class.

Never ever volunteer information.
That way you don't have to "remember" what you said.
I am sick. period.
If asked then say, "I think it was just a virus" of some sort or something I ate.
