You should get your period on a solid 28 day cycle once your body is adjusted to being on the pill. This could take one or two cycles. It sounds to me like you are just about to HAVE your period - swollen breasts are also a sign of PMS.

If you THINK you might be pregnant, STOP TAKING THE PILL, get a test. Being on the pill while pregnant is bad for the baby.

If you have been taking the pills the way you should, with the one-week break in between, and had no period, it is possible you could be pregnant. Do a test. If it shows negative, you may want to call the doctor/clinic where you got the pills. just to make sure. But tender breasts are a possible side effect of the pills, so it may be nothing. Just make sure, so you can make decisions before it is too late. Next time, avoid unprotected sex for amonth after you start the pills.

Half the women I know have gotten pregnant on the pill. No form of birth control is 100% So, if you don't want to get pregnant don't do the deed. That's a fact. However, you may just be stressed and breasts do get sore before some periods. Good luck.

Sweetie:

Please get to a doctor and don't rely on us yahoos to give you medical advice. Something is wrong and only a doc can help. God bless!
