Half a lifetime is either determined after you die, or if you just don't assume you will have another day and are looking back you can considered your whole life to that point and take half of it. Half of my lifetime then would be nearly 13 years and I hope it continues to increase.

In ancient tims an average life of a human is considered 100 Years.

Now which is reduced to 60 Years. One who passes his Youngish is also finished his half life time.
