I suppose both would be the surnames like
John Doe married to Rock Young. Their names would be
John DoeYoung and Rock DoeYoung.

Either have a double barrelled surname or choose whoever has the nicest name.

2 men might live together and even call it a civil partnership but they can't be married. One partner has to be the wife and that means a female.
It's about time the church put its foot down about this abomination.

It depends on the men, some do hyphenate their names, others chose a new last name to share and others dont change them at all.
Same sex marriage is allowed in Canada, parts of Europe and here in the US in Massachusetts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same-sex_marriage_timeline

There is no set rule. The guys work it out on their own whether to keep their names go double barrelled or to take on the others name!!!

Probably the one who's a tad more macho. The one that plays "*****" gives up the name as well as the rear.
