I suppose both would be the surnames like
John Doe married to Rock Young. Their names would be
John DoeYoung and Rock DoeYoung.

Either have a double barrelled surname or choose whoever has the nicest name.

2 men might live together and even call it a civil partnership but they can't be married. One partner has to be the wife and that means a female.
It's about time the church put its foot down about this abomination.

It depends on the men, some do hyphenate their names, others chose a new last name to share and others dont change them at all.

There is no set rule. The guys work it out on their own whether to keep their names go double barrelled or to take on the others name!!!

is same sex marriage actually allowed? theres civil partnership which is not legally 'marriage', but i dont know about same sex marriages... i suppose if it was allowed it would be the more feminine one that takes the others surname

For them; Sur name is no important because they will act as man and woman by turn.
Just use their original names ..
