Are you looking to sightsee, or move there?

If you like outdoor activities (hiking, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing) you'll probably have a great time.

Some folks like to take the cruise line route up from Seattle. There are also shorter day cruises to tour the glaciers, or flightseeing tours in small airplanes.

If you lke sports, Anchorage has a hockey team (the Aces) and a minor league baseball team (the Alaska Bush Pilots).

In Ancorage you can hike up flattop mountain. Its an easy hike with a great view. 10/10 There is some Indian village up there, I didn't go to it cause it was raining but its supposed to be good.

Kenia Fojords Tours in Seward is one of if not the best boat tour I've ever been on. I saw whales. sea lions, an eagle swooping down and catching a fish, many different kinds of birds, breathtaking scenery, a close up view of an iceberg, and even a salmon dinner on an island. 10/10 Also walking around Seward is very enjoyable too.

Denali National Park is one of the most beutiful places I've ever seen. I've been all over the country and its one of the top places I've been to. Take the shuttle buses through the park to Wonder Lake. I saw many animals including two Grizzly Bears, many huge herds of Caribou, and Great Views of Mt. McKinley. 10/10

you could go out and napalm the wildlife refuge and solve the problems of the environmental lobby.

other than that may I suggest hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, birdwatching, wildlife photography, cross-country skiing, dogsled racing, chopping firewood, herb-collecting, learning to identify flowers and other plants, stargazing, skating and or hockey, taxidermy, whittling, canoe-building, or snuggling with the locals in their sleeping bags?

but NOT swimming.
