"Best science project?".Tough question.You should have been more specific like the category in which you have to make a project.According to my point of view you should take in what you are intrested.This can offer you a more accurate way to find out the solution of this question.
I have made several projects and the best one to make is producing energy.It is the most popular topic in present day context.Producing electricity with a small turbine or with a dynmao of a bicycle lighting multiple bulbs of neon may be agood idea for you.

Avoid using the word "best" (or "better") in a science project unless it is qualified, and even then there would probably be other ways to phrase the sentence so as not to use the word.

What exactly is mean by "best"?
Do you mean a project which will win? I would argue that just because a certain project wins does not make it 'better' than another project, it just used the scientific method, followed the project guidelines more closely, and caught the interest of the judges.
