How many of you think Terrorsist could take over the United States. Do they have some kind of huge Navy that I dont know about and are prepairing to invade D.C. How the hell could Terrorist take over the USA?

I think you response was the best one as far as what the Terrorist can do to take over our country in a sense. But it would really be our government that would turn on us, they would still be against the Terrorst though. It would just be more violent

They could do things to cause us to get so paranoid that we start taking away freedoms one by one. Eventually, we would have lost what makes us Americans, and we would be content handing over our freedoms. That is how they could take over. And we would really know they've taken over when they get the rest of the world to hate the US over the whole situation. Luckily, we can watch Fox News, and pretend all of this hasn't already happened.
As far as literally showing up and defeating our military and police, that could never happen, at least not anytime soon. And why would they want to, there are Americans they are trying to kill already in the middle east.

The terrorists have already taken over most people dont realize it yet. When we spend over a billion dollars a week fighting a war in a country that doesnt want us there, the terrorists have won. When its more important to pass laws such as the patriot act than protect the freedoms our forefathers fought for the terrorist have already won. When people back a President who is leading this country in the wrong direction because he says you will be safer with him than a democrat, the terrorists have already won.

I don't believe that foreign terrorists can take over the U. S., but terrorists are cowards and are sneaky and hide among people. Just look at the Middle East. The terrorists there live among their own people, hiding behind women and children.
Remember there are domestic terrorists too.
I TRULY BELIEVE our people would fight like hell if someone tried to take over our country.

I think it is easy for terrorists to come into this country and destroy us one by one. Who is to sy that they will not poison our food. How do we know that they will not put something in our water. We are so busy fighting stupid war in Iraq that I feel this wonderful country of ours is at great risk for anything to hapen. How do we really know what the cause of the recent "spinach" scare was? We need to bring our men and women back home to defend us instead of defending people that do not want to change. We live in a great country, the best in the world, and we do not need a bunch of terrorists coming inhere every chance they get. And that is how I feel.

well, those terrorists are funded by people with all the money in the world, and have a stranglehold on our economy and therefore our power. They are a monopoly called opec, and bush's great plan to break opec by flooding the market with cheap iraqi oil seems to have been yet another failure on his part. they dont need a navy, our borders are shamefully open to any and all who wish to cross them illegally, and they dont need to have an actual takeover by force, they can infiltrate and buy the special interests who run the country, and thus they would control the USA, and work from within to destroy our systems of freedom, education, environment, and economy.
