Some Latin American countries like Dominican Republica, Cuba and Brazil have a large black population. Cuba and Brazil have very large white population too. In Latin America not all whites descents of Spanish and Portuguese and there are important Japanese and Arab communities too. As you can see Latin Americans don't belong to a single race. We are a "melting pot", as you like to say.

Besides, Mexico IS a part of Latin America. And all of Latin America hasn't evolved for the same reason: The IMF and the USA.

And people in Latin America have high levels of racial mixture with natives. This didn't happen in Spain, so I guess that's why it's considered white.

I'm astonished on the loss of capabilities that plenty of latin Americans have. You do notice that the Spanish handled the natives like crap, raped plenty of the girl, pressured all of them into Christianity, after which proceeded to extinct many southern American and vital American tribes proper? i'm a white brazilian. Brazil is like the US .. europeans discovered Brazil. Many brazilians are decendents from the Germans, Portuguese and Italians..
