Stop asking this question. She may not have gained enough weight. Studies have shown that a particular weight seems to trigger the start of a girl's cycle.

First how old is your child? Some girls don't start menstruating until they are 16. If she is older than 16, is she very active? Sometimes if a girl is incredibly athletic and have a very low body fat she will start menstruating at an even later age. To really give you even a good guess at what else the problem could be, you need to give a little bit of information.

Seeing a doctor is a good idea. But don't worry, it's likely not anything serious. Girls can miss periods because of stress--lots of women who take sports miss periods. Myself, I had fairly regular periods until my Senior year of high school and then I went 5 months without having one. It was nothing. My periods were irregular until my first child was born, then they evened out.

Well, you didn't mention how old she is, if by the age of 18, she still hasn't started, she should get herself checked. Maybe she is a late developer, not all girls start at the same age I think it can vary from age 8 to 18.

Hormones are not "scheduled'.
We consume foods which are grown with pesticides. Animals have hormones in their feed. These and other possibilities can effect our bodies.
Some females start early and some late. I wouldn't be concerned if she is young. I would seek medical advising if it goes beyond 17 yrs old.

I have known girls that don't start their periods until they are 16 or 17. You don't say how old she is?
You really need to take her to the doctor.

you never specified how old she was. Maybe she isn't having a period because she's 6, maybe there are other factors here. Provide more information. (spellcheck before updating, you're pretty hard to read)

If she hasn't started by age 18, I would take her to an endocrinologist for hormone testing, especially if she has breasts and underarm/pubic hair.
