I just finished reading Angels and Demons and Davinci Code and became more interested about the secret societies. Is there proof that they still exist? (Like the masons and Illuminati?)

Yes,, they most certainly do,, however, television and movies have given them a bad rap.

The Freemasons for example,,, their primary goal is to become a better person and help your fellow man. The give HUGE amounts of money to charities of all kinds all over the world.

Skull and Bones is best to read about as there has been very little surface material. If I recall they were founded right after the bavarian illuminati was closed down by Germany. The interesting part people mention is the founder of skull and bones went to germany and came back to open S&B. Now masonry denies realation of Bavarian Illuminati but many masons were in it and founded it but than again many masons love any sort of teachings of the like. The motto of the Bavarian Illuminato was seen in france I forgot where.

Its a great romance subject it really is. Can't really disprove anything as nothing is public assuming unless you join any secret society.

The Masons certainly do still exist. While certain of the cermonies are not open to the public, what they stand for is easily found out. The main goal of the Masons is to MAKE GOOD MEN BETTER. They also help in the community where they can. The Shriners, which is part of Masonary, is world famous for the Hospitals they support and the circuses they have as fund raiser to support the hospitals.

Masonry still exists as well as the knights Templar, and several others you just have to open your eyes and look around. they are every where. The best way to learn is to ask most groups don't go out and recruit so they are slowly deteriorating to nothing. They don't want anyone to feel that they pressured them into joining so they wait for you to come to them.

Actually, yes. Secrety Societies stil exsist today. Many Ivy League universities have them. Yale has several... the last few US Preisdents who attended Yale are all reported to be members of Skull & Bones.

Wikipedia has a good listing of them.
