I would add the kinesthetic sense to the others listed above. This involves knowing where the body is in space and where the parts of the body are in relationship to one another. Both very necessary for catching a ball.

Except the sense of taste, all the four... sight , sound, touch , and perhaps even the deep smell of opponents aggressive defense !

Mostly sight and touch, sometimes sound. You need to see where the ball is headed, and you won't know that you've caught the ball until you feel it land in your hand.
