Yes; we learn to understand each other and then we can help each other, learn from each other and forgive each other because we have an understanding of how each think and feel.
As we improve for ourselves we are improving for others. The more we learn about ourselves, accept ourselves, help ourselves then the more we are able to do all mentioned for others too, therefore improvement all round.

Psychology can help with very basic problems. But it can easily do more harm than good. I'm a strong believer in meditating to figure out what's really bothering a person. Psychology allows someone else to tell you, and they could easily be wrong. After that they may put you in any catagory of disorders, send you to a psychiatrist for medication to correct these disorders that you may not have had in the first place, and there could be severe side affects. Not only physical, but the worst part would be that you may never figure out what's really bothering you. So while it can help some, I believe it can easily do more harm than good. I don't think it makes better human beings because there are now millions of Americans that feel their problems have been solved when they really haven't, and they aren't reaching their full potential.

I plan on examining to be a psychologist even as i bypass to varsity and such and that i do not in simple terms seem at definitions and such. i'm taking a Psych. class in intense college and next twelve months i'm taking an on line direction for A.P. Psych. I take it because i detect the human options exciting and that i visit regularly understand why human beings act the way they do, even without each and every of the "definitions." i favor to assist human beings and attempt to conquer their complications and lead them to sense extra perfect. I truly have a regular interest in helping human beings/. the a number of definitions do help. they grant you with a foundation round which to imagine, they don't inevitably allow you to understand precisely how issues are or should be, they in simple terms grant you with and idea to base your hypothesis or diagnosis round. They even allow you to understand no longer to take any psychological checks or the style of issues too heavily till you search for suggestion from a psychologist so its unlike you examine a e book and also you're an expert.

Psychology can identify unhealthy trends in behavior that lead to destructive behavior and provides means to rectify the situation. Oftentimes, the person that has destructive behavioral patterns is not entirely aware of it and/or needs help climbing out of the hole he or she is in. If these destructive behavioral trends are not dealt with, they are commonly passed down to one's children. Therefore, I think it reasonable to say that psychology is useful in making better human beings.

i use psychology in the sense of using the philosophical aspects...i don't believe that one can "fix" oneself, or others for that matter. but using it as a means to understanding oneself seems the best way to go at it...

Yes, as it makes it easier to relate to other people and get a sense of what they are feeling, thinking and what motivates them, thus lessening the chances of you causing inadvertent harm to others
