What are you talking about.

Are you suggesting that a 217-year system is flawed? What specific flaws are you suggesting? Where has the system let us down?

Why should everyone get a vote? Does everyone approach the RIGHT to vote equally? Does everyone have the same at stake in every election? The founding fathers were so skeptical of the masses there isn't even a general right to vote outlined in the Constitution.

Direct election of our representatives is largely the system utilized in the US - with the notable exception of the president. And the reasons for the system of voting for the president are still valid. The electoral college eliminates the tyranny of the masses. All Presidents need to move to the center and appeal to a broad base to get elected. That's a good thing. If we had direct election of the president then all the nominee would have to do is appeal to the majority.

I'm assuming you're referring to direct Democracy. I'm sure a lot of people are going to come on and say, "that's the way it should be", but our forefathers recognized that direct democracy leads to faction and that's why we have the Electoral College.

We all DO get to vote, unless you are disqualified. What disqualifications do you want to eliminate?

If you vote properly your vote counts. Don't be foolish.
