Schooling in the United States and many other countries looks like this
elementary, middle/junior high, high school, college, graduate/professional school, post-graduate.
Graduate school is considered an advanced degree beyond the bachelors degree but is different from professional schools. Graduate schools usually end with what is called a "terminal" degree either a Masters or a PhD/EdD. This is where most college professors come from is graduate school at the PhD level. The focus of graduate school is to expand your knowledge of a more specific topic/area. It is usually research based but can be practical depending on the program. Not all schools offer graduate education.
To answer your question, Graduate school is still a part of college. It comes after your undergraduate (bachelors) program.
Examples - Psychology, Engineering, Business, Education, etc. they all have graduate school. The principal of your school should have a Masters degree at least. They have gone to graduate school. As has your school guidance counselor.

A graduate school is for college or university degrees after the bachelors degreee. It offers either or both the masters degree and the doctorate degree. Typically, the tuition is much higher per credit hour than for undergraduate degree programs of an associate and bachelor degree levels. They can be located in both private and public colleges and universities. Degrees can be granted in the fields of science, education, arts, business, and more.

Graduate school comes after 'university.' Generally, anything past a Bachelor's degree (unless for certain certificate programs) is considered graduate school (Masters, Doctorate).
