You could be retaining a lot of water. Try not to drink soda or anything with a lot of sodium. Cranberry juice is great, it will clean your system out and it's healthy. Your pregnany, and some women gain a ton some gain just a bit. That doesn't mean you won't lose it after you have your baby. You are far enough along too that you may be experiencing baby blues. Keep an eye on it, if you continue getting depressed, let your doctor know how your feeling. It's normal and everything will be fine. Just keep in mind, once you see that little angel in your arms, you will know it was all worth it!

You are not alone I'm sure. You think you feel big? I was pregnant with twins. I am 5"4 and I weighed about 130lbs before I got pregnant, I wore a size 5 in pants and a small to xs in shirts. By the time I delivered I my uterus was measuring 56 weeks (full term pregnancy should measure 40 weeks) They dont make maternity clothes big enough to cover my belly it was so huge..I even tried plus size maternity clothes which where huge on my arms and chest and not long enough to cover my belly. My stomach was so huge I was in a wheelchair from 36 weeks until I delivered at 37 weeks 5 days. It will be over soon and the weight will drop off..I've already lost about 55lbs of the 75-80lbs I gained in 4 months. You only have one baby so it'll be a piece of cake, and you're beautiful you're carrying life so dont worry about it ;)

People are always staring at pregnant women. Face it, we are interesing to see with our big bellies and our penguin walk. Some women are thinking about when they were pregnant and how nice it is to have a baby around. Some women may just be thinking "thank goodness it is not me". I remember after I had my daughther and was at Babies R Us I was looking around at all the pregnant women thinking "thank god it is all done with for me". And are you really worried about what little kids and teen agers are thinking about? Honestly you need to get over it and go on with your daily business. It will all be over with soon enough and you will never have to go through with it again if you dont want to. I am 40 weeks pregnant with my second and never did like being pregnant, not because people are looking at me, but because things are just so uncomfortable and I cant do all of the things I want to. This will be my last pregnancy.

I feel big too and I am 8 mth's... the other day I went to go pick my son up from school and these 3 fat mexican ladies was making fun of me. I could not believe that people could be so rude to pregnant women.
I looked at them and they said something in spanish regarding my pregnancy, I understood a few things. I was so upset because I am only big because of my stomach but these women was like fat all over and they got the balls to talk about me...
I just said to myself that they are just jeolous because they wish that they could look as good as I do being pregnant. I'm all belly, they are fat and going to get bigger. I will not be pregnant for ever... So my advice to you is too ignore everyone and enjoy the gift that God has given you. Pregnancy is a blessing, so enjoy it... You are not fat, your just pregnant... (Good Luck)!!!!

It sounds like you are paranoid about your weight/size. Understand that your body is going through a lot right now, and one of those things is keeping your baby safe and healthy. You may feel larger due to the excess bulk, not because if the weight. No one is looking and laughing at you.....there are pregnant women everywhere....no one would single you out. Be sure you are not starving yourself to stay thin...your baby needs vitamins, nutrients and calories to grow!

A woman should plan on not gaining any more than 25 pounds at the MOST during her pregnancy. Many women that I know gained between 0 and 10 pounds. Healthy eating, good exercise, and a positive attitude (by that I mean you need to realize that pregnancy is not a license to "pig out") all help during pregnancy.
Congratulations on the upcoming birth of your child.

The little kids point most likely because they've never seen a pregnant woman before and are curious. The teenagers point most likely because they're immature. Don't let anything or anyone bother you about it.

i am feeling the same exact way. I am pregnant and I feel huge..even though i think i only put on 2-4 lbs.. i feel like an elephant and looks like people are looking at me weirdly.
my hubby doesnt see it
It might just be in our heads because our bodies are changing..and we notice every little detail..

they might be pointing and staring at you because the are fascinated by the look of a pregnant woman. It has nothing to do with your weight, it has to do with your belly and your baby.
