I'm checking into the possibility of driving from either Virginia or New Orleans down to La Ceiba, Honduras.

Question

Does anyone have any information about this in terms of transporting a car for someone else (an expat for example) or if buying a car in the US and then selling it in Honduras is a possibility (make or lose money on it?) and the legal issues involved (insurance, etc)?

I know a guy who has done it. Be sure you have the title and call your (car) insurance company and tell them you are driving through Mexico, there are forms you need, to avoid having to buy (rip-off) insurance at the border.
Make sure that you have your shot-record up to date.
