6 tattoos and 11 piercings. My only tat that really hurt is on my upper back, between my shoulder blades. Everything else was mostly a scratchy/itchy feeling with the occasional tender spot. I've got my tongue, nipples and ears (3 sets) done now, and I had my belly button done years ago. The 2 lower holes in my ears, bellybutton and tongue were a breeze, just a quick pinch and it's over. The upper holes in my ears were a little worse, because it's thicker and has cartilage. Of course the nipples hurt, but it wasn't as bad as I was afraid it was going to be. The first set got rejected (fyi, ladies... if you're gonna pierce the girls, wear barbells, not rings!) so after about a year, I got them redone.

I got a tattoo, and it didnt hurt because of the area that I got it on. They say the breastplate and spine hurt the worst. I have my ears pierces....3 on left 4 on right one including my cartiladge which took a while for it to heal, but now it is good and never has gotten infected. I got my belly button pierced...but i always bumped it and layed on it and after a while it became more of an annoyance so I took it out. It pinched a good bit when gettin it done. I also got my nipples pierced. The first one didnt hurt much because your body is so excited/nervous....the 2nd one pinched more...but for me it was a good feeling I guess. I also got my "lower hood" pierced. To be honest that hurt the worse...but it was just a sharp pinch. The piercer alos lost the hole the first time, so he had to re do it..which is probably why it hurt more. Nips take about 4-8 months to completely heal. You really have to be good with them and clean them. The lower end piercing healed in like 3 weeks...and its great now ;) Doesn't hurt me at all. I would really recommend that one for females.

I got my ears pierced a while ago and...no, it doesn't hurt at all. All you feel is a little pinch, kinda like a bug bite (no bees). It's very fast and i didn't even know that my ear was pierced until i saw the lady steping back. The second ear hurts a little more because your expecting the pain and you already know what it feels like, but it's still okay. There's usually no blood, and as long as you disinfect your ears after you pierce them, there are usually no infections. So...it's not really a big deal at all. Hope everything goes well! Good luck and don't worry too much!

I have two piercings in each ear lob, neither of those hurt hardly at all. I have one cartilege pierced. That one was sore for quite a while, especially to sleep on or hold a phone up to. That took a couple months for it to not hurt so bad.
I have a pretty good sized tattoo between my shoulder blades, and it hurt quite a bit, but just while it was being done. It itched more than it was sore while it was healing.
Now I'm having part of it removed, and that hurts worse than anything i've ever had done to me. I don't know if laser hurts rly bad, but I'm having mine removed by freezing treatments from a dermatologist, and........ wow. The advice I have is don't get a name tattooed on you, lol.

I have my ears pierced. A lip piercing and 1 tatoo.

The piercings really didn't hurt it was a quick pinch and thats it. Although piercings through the cartilage do hurt a bit more than those that aren't.

Tatoo's do hurt, how much depends on the location. It hurts the worse on very boney areas and across the spine.

Pierced ears (4 on one side...2 on the other...used to be 7 on one side and 5 on the other), nose, belly button...Cartilage on the ears hurts...especially after sleeping on it. I believe after about 6 months it heals.
Belly button done at a tattoo parlor, harmless. Nose, done by self...hurt like heck...not too much pain after that, healed in a couple months; had for 12 years now!
No tattoos, sorry, afraid of needles. My husband has tattoos and says it depends on the place it's done. Shoulder blade, tail and ankle bones hurts most. Pain goes away quickly... =o) Have fun!

I have quite a few piercings...my tragus and upper cartilage (needled, not gunned) were painless; then my nose, inner conches, and outer conch were really easy and only hurt afterwards; my industrial and snug (both retired now) hurt a little more, and my belly button and rook hurt the worst (weird, I know, most people say these hurt the least). I have 3 tattoos...one on the side of my back, one on my belly, and one on the side/top of my foot. For the most part, I barely felt the one on my belly...my foot was the worst, but even that wasn't that bad.

Depends on part of body you get them, some places hurt worst then others. Tattoos that is I dont know about piercings. I have been told by an artist that they can control how bad it hurts.

Three piercings in each ear; just a quick pinch and a warm feeling. No pain.

Two tattoos; "pain" depends on a lot of things; the location of the tattoo, size of the tattoo and your pain threshold. Tattoos are not painless, but the sensation is definately tolerable. Warning - they are addictive! :-)

I have had my ears pierced two or three times. I have had the cartilage done also. None of that hurt. The last time that I had my ears pierced my husband insisted that I get it done at a tattoo shop. They are more sanatary and professional than Wal-Mart or Claire's. I have six tattoos. It all depends where you get them. MAKE DAMN SURE THAT YOU CHECK OUT THE PLACES GOOD THAT YOU GET EITHER DONE AT(tattoos or piercings)
