Well, yes M=Slope. The slope of the line is the movement in the Y direction divided by the movement in the X direction. Or usually denoted as RISE over RUN (RISE/RUN). The "B" represents the Y intercept, meaning when X=0, this is the point at which the line will hit the Y axis. When you know "B" you can use "M" to draw the line. Lets assume M=2/3 (Rise = 2, Run = 3). Let B = 2. To draw this line you would start at the Y axis at 2 and make a point. Then move up 2 along the Y axis (Rise = 2), and to the right by 3 along the X asis (Run = 3) and this will make your next point. Now if you connect the two points you will make the line for the equation Y = (2/3)X + 2.

In the equation y=mx+b, m defines the rate of change in y compared to x.

Take for example the equation

y=2x+8

Here m=2. Therefore y changes at twice the rate of x. If x increases by 3 for example and then y changes by 6.

i desire you understand what i is. Its reported as 'iota'. Its an 'imaginary quantity' and is comparable to ?(-a million) in addition (a + ib) is likewise an imaginary quantity, the place a and b are any genuine numbers. here, on condition that (3-2i)-(x+yi)=(2-3i) => 3 - 2i - x - yi = 2 - 3i => (3-x) + (-2 -y)i = 2 + (-3)i you may have heard some very conventional rule of imaginary numbers, it is that if ( a + ib ) = ( c + identity ), then a = c and b = d. employing a similar rule here, we will get (3-x) = 2 and (-2-y) = -3 => x = a million and y = a million.

slope is the tan of the angle the line forms with the x axis mesured anticlockwise.
Which can also be expressed as y2-y1/x2-x1 where x2,y2 and x1,y1 are any coordinates on the line

this is equation of a straight line
when you draw a graph (x,y) is a point in the straight line

m is the slope of straight line = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) where x1,y1 is a point and x2,y2 is another point in line

this passes through (0,b) point iin the line
