A qwerty keyboard is the modernest type of keyboard. It has the most used letters near your fingers so you don't have to stretch. Also the six letters on the top line of the letters on the keyboard spells qwerty.

QWERTY keyboard is the keyboard that ships with EVERY pc in the world... it is how the keys are placed. The other setup is Dvorak.

QWERTY
The name QWERTY for our typewriter keyboard comes from the first six letters in the top alphabet row(The one below the numbers). It is also called the Universal Keyboard. It was invented by C.L.Sholes who
put together the prototypes of the first commercial typewriter back in the 1860`s. The keyboard arrangement was considered important enough to be included on Shole`s patent granted in 1878, some years after the machine was put into production. QWERTY`s effect sped up typing rather than slowing it down.

QWERTY, (pronounced /ˈkwɝrti/) is the most common modern-day keyboard layout on English language computer and typewriter keyboards. It takes its name from the first six letters seen in the keyboard's top first row of letters. The QWERTY design was patented by Christopher Sholes in 1868 and sold to Remington in 1873, when it first appeared in typewriters.
