I just have a can of Bug Off, and when I see one, I just give the spider a quick spray on the back. They might run away, but they die within a few minutes. I don't like doing it, but trying to remove the spider from your house, without hurting it, is extremely difficult, if you're scared of the spider. I used to have those plug-in things that make an ultra-sonic sound that insects hate. They probably worked to some extent, but not completely. One time, there was a bug standing a few feet from one. I just use the spray. You don't have to douse it in it; just kind of spritz the bug.

After cleaning with clorox clean-up, I went to the local Wal-Mart store and found out aut about a pest control called "Home Defense". It's a non-aerosol clear liquid with no odor and has done me wonders. It tells a long list of the many pests and insects/etc. that it kills instantly. The cost was under $20 for a gallon of the product.

Put drops of lavendar oil on cotton balls and stick them in the corners. Spiders hate lavendar.
