I get so annoyed when Anyone calls me hun, dear,
sweetie or babe. Probably have a few more that
thoroughly fries my bacon. I correct most of them.
I tell them, "Only my husband calls me that, my
name is Tammy". Gets 'em every time! They stop too.

I do but I can't because when some call me that, I don't mind. People who know me and respect me and I know it's coming from them as a term of endearment.

Others, yes. Especially when they are self-proclaimed "enlightened" people. Enlightened, my fluffy bunny tail. If you don't know someone well or don't hang out with them, you don't go around calling them dear. "thanks, dear." "good to see you, dear."

I'm a rabbit, not a dear! ;)

Oh, yes. There are a couple people who call me "kiddo" or something like that, and I'm always like "I have a REAL job, dude, and you're a TEMPORARY employee. I'm your superior. Piss me off enough and you could get canned". They think it's "cute" to do that, because they're old enough to be my parents. But, THEY AREN'T, and I'm not 5 years old anymore.

No, I like it. It sounds "right" to me though, if that makes sense. I'm used to it in other words. I say it too, but know now it's not something people like all the time, so I catch myself saying it far less than I would....
