I was just about to play DWM 2 with my link cable, and when I got to the main screen it said "saved data has been lost". I couldn't believe it!! I had the best monsters and everything! I used that same link cable millions of times and nothing was wrong before. Does anyone know how this happened so that if in the future I decide to play the new game, I can stop this from happening?

One mistake plenty of people make is using the GBA link cable or using GBAs to link up games that should only be played on the GBC. A vast majority of the time the games won't link at all, but sometimes they will, but problems can still arise.
Were you using two GBCs and a GBC link cable? If not that is probably the issue.

I do not think there is a problem with the game itself. I think you just have to be careful of where you put the game cartrege. Whe my friend threw my game cartriege, it said the saved data has been lost.
