Don't know if it would matter where you are. I live in MD.

I had a bus driver tell me the arrow was meant to tell the rider which corner to stand on. Like even if the bus stop sign is in the middle of the block, if there's an arrow pointing, you're supposed to go stand at the curb.

Given the arrow's proximity to the line about no stopping/parking, I always thought it was to tell cars that they can't park from the sign forward (in the direction of the arrow). And that there's no arrow on the sign whenever the stop is on a block where there is never any parking allowed.

What do you think?

(I'm trying to find out "public opinion" because I think this guy made up the arrow story because he passed by the stop and didn't stop until I yelled.)

If the arrow points down, it means that's the bus from helll.
