BYU? Sure, if you're a Mormon!! - Cal? Sure, if you're a homosexual!!
Pick the best academic school for whatever you are planning your life for!!! Unless you're going to play football in the NFL, you should choose your school accordingly!!
Examples: Electronic engineer : Mass. Inst. of Tech - MIT;
Agricultural fields: Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska,etc.
Veterinarian: Ohio State
Marine biologist: Miami (FL), Alabama
Law: Stanford, Harvard, Yale, etc.
Medicine: Ohio State, Harvard, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, etc.

My 11 year old daughter has gotten straight A's on everything since kindergarten, and she is now in 5th grade. She told me she wanted to be a clothing designer when she grew up, and that she wanted to go to Harvard. I told her that I don't know what the preferred college of choice is for advancing in the clothes designing industry, but that it's more likely in Paris or New York, not Harvard!
My point is do some RESEARCH and find the BEST college that SPECIALIZES in what you want to pursue as a career!

P.S....Oh yeah, and if you're an all-state high school football player looking for the best college football program in the nation, go to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY and play for the #1 Buckeyes!!!!!!

Depends on what you want to do with your life. If you are going into a field like communication/business/ things of that nature go to UA. If you want to be a vet, farming, agriculture, science go to AU. I have no idea about UF The campus reminds me of UAB though. I am a grad of UA. If you are goiung into the Greek system go to UA. I think UA is layed out better than the other two. You have your Business/Education/Communication on one side and your Science/Math/Psychology on the other side of campus. Check out the housing situation etc etc There is more to do in Tuscaloosa than Auburn also. More to do in Gainesville than the two combined lol.

Depends what you are going for. There are so many great schools you need to pick the one best for you, even if you just want to go to watch football. If you want to be where it is warm in November, head south. If you want to watch real men play football in the cold and snow, like it was meant to be played, head north. Pick a place you like the best, there are so many great venues, traditions, etc.
