Better than the local school district would be call your local college/university's school of education and find out about Special Education with an empahsis in Hearing Disabled (bad terms I know but it will get the point across even if they don't have the program). you could also look for your state's School for the Deaf. Here in Kansas this school is located in Kansas City Kansas. In Iowa it is in Council Bluffs. Every state should have one. Another GREAT resource would be Gaulldelt (i know I did not spell that right!)

Here you go..here is a website that will help youout I am sure.

Contact a local school district and ask about their deaf education program. Someone within the program could probably help you. Oh and please don't be one of those people who work with the deaf but don't know jack crap about sign language. Please learn the language!! It will help you better help the hearing impared.

my suggestion would be to go to a school district. inquire about the different programs they offer. the main thing is to see if any school district has something remotely close to what you wish to offer them. if not, this is a great opportunity to spread your wings and get something started. good luck.

peace
