Every so often when I wash my sheets they would come out with all bleach stains on it. The detergent I use on my sheets has absolutly no bleach in them. The only thing I figured out is I use bleach alternative on my white towels and maybe there is a residue left in the wash after I wash the towels and it gets on the sheets? I usually wait a while between loads so it doesn't make sense. Also only certain things have the bleach stains while other things are fine..I'm so confused!!?

If you are using a liquid laundry detergent, that may be the culprit. The newer detergents are *CONCENTRATED*, making them strong enough to bleach some types of clothing if it is not diluted before you put the clothes in. Had this problem a lot myself, until I changed how I loaded the washer.

Now, I start the water first, dump in the detergent. I then wait until the washer is about 1/4 full, then add the clothes. This way, the detergent is well diluted and won't stain the clothing. Have had no problems since I made this change.

Good luck!

sounds to me like you figured it out yourself!! the residue left from the bleach alternative soap is just enough to get on the sheets but not enough to get on anything else in the washer. i always wash the darks first before i do anything that would take a bleach.

hi, confident the bleach has taken the colour out. What i might do is purchase an same felt pen (ideally an everlasting marker) and no be counted if it somewhat is a reasonably small mark you need to dab at it. of course it relies upon on the size of the bleach marks!

Do you have alot of buildup in your washer? Do you clean it every month? What i do is i run one large load of water with greased lighting if anything is built up it will immediately dissolve it.
