Some sharks (whites) may attack out of confusion or just testing, while others (tigers) will eat ANYTHING and so humans fill the bill. Some reef sharks as well as bull sharks can be VERY territorial and will attack just because you are in their area. Most willl leave you alone if you leave them alone.

Sharks usually avoid scuba divers. A scuba diver doesn't look act, or smell like food. The sound of the released air tends to scare them off. Scuba divers bitten by sharks are generally spear fishing, grabbing on to the shark, or were swimming on the surface. Submersible are generally rather frightening to sharks with their noise and movement.

Sharks inmost cases do not kill people as their food ...their main source of food is seals..but since we look like seals while swimming they prey on us....if u research about it and about the # of human attacked by sharks ..there is a minute amount of people were killed by sharks (spot dead) but most of this people servives from common sharks. there is only 2 kinds of sharks that actually prey on humans. one of them is white sharks.
