I believe most people do remember that. Most people also remember Colin Powell going before the UN with manufactured evidence to back up the need to go into Iraq. Yes the Democrats voted to let the president send troops. I regret that weakness. I also regret that the information given the Senate now appears to have been false.

All but one member of congress voted in 2001 to fight terrorism whereever it was. In Iraq it was not as overwhelmingly in favor but something around 85% if I recall. There were tons of speeches both before and after 911 about the evil hussein, whenever a democrat could get in front of a camera, it is all on record yet the socialists will deny and deflect until they day they die.

I must admit that when clitoon admitted that he ordered an assasination on OBL I was shocked. He basically admitted he was a felon or a liar. My guess he will say he lied since he has gotten away with it forever. EO12333

It is equally interesting that while bush talks about OBL he had NEVER said he ordered him killed, just kind of curious.

Anyway dems lie, and a lot of people die.

Irrelevant cop. They voted for it based on the same flawed intelligence that a lot of republicans used to base their decision on. Many Democrats, for example Rockefeller, have said in public that he made a mistake and if he knew at the time what he later found out, he would have cast a different vote. How many republicans have done that?
The issue goes beyond the initial vote to the handling of the war. It's been abysmal and you can't blame that on the democrats. This has been a republican show for 6 years.

The misunderstanding is that Democrats what to "Cut and Run" This is not true. If Democrats says that they are for moving troops out of Iraq but leaving them in neighboring friendly countries to be call back into Iraq if need, they are labeled as "Cut and Runners" This is just another way to fight the war in Iraq. Sadly the President and the Republicans have made it clear that if you are not with them you are with the terrorist. Well I am not with the Republicans so what does that make me? I know I not for the Terrorist. There has to be middle ground here and they have made that impossible. President Kennedy once said "Never be afraid to negotiate and never negotiate out of fear"
I believe there is a better way to fight this war in Iraq and that does not make me a cut and runner it makes me a person who is willing to find a way to win and not settle for the status quo.

I know this did not answer you question, but I figure you were talking about the dems saying this war is a mistake and we should have never gone to Iraq in the first place. Well the info that was giving to us was false so there is your answer.

Because if they harp on the "Bush mislead us" mantra enough, it'll fool the people into thinking that they (democratic representatives) have no responsibility in the matter. The job of Congress is to be a check and balance on the presidency, not to just go along with whatever he said. They had the same access to the same intelligence. If any congressperson is claiming that they were mislead is actually admitting that they are not doing their job in representing their constituents and should be removed. Our government is not a hierarchy with the president on top. The folks in Congress had no responsibility to follow with what he said, in fact their responsibility is exactly the opposite.

I'm not sure why so few people remember that many politicians who are now staunchly against our presence in Iraq spoke out for the invasion of Iraq in the first place.

Yes, some Democrats did.

Here is the resolution authorizing force in Iraq. How many have actually read it?

Because they were fooled by the Bush administration story about the weapons of mass destruction as were a lot of republicans and most of the people now we find out this is all lies and we keep finding this administration lying about other things.

They did, and most people do remember (think Joe Lieberman remembers?). They were also given limited intelligence that the Bush administration wanted them to see.

Like a lot of people, they were fooled into supporting the president.
