The fact is that in the NFL, there isn't a *huge* difference between the skill and ability of the teams, but those edges make all the difference. Look at the timing misses between Moss and Walter. Moss wasn't running his routes all the way out (big surprise!) which cost Oakland a good 70-80 yards on the day. The upstairs guys didn't do their job either, with a terrible spot going unchallenged. Hell, Shell should've just thrown the dang flag, what does he have to lose at this point?? A muffed screen pass when the play was developing really well, a blown fake reverse with two men wide open. If these guys play with a little more precision in all those places, they come out with a win there, but it's just plain sloppy from top to bottom.

There is enough talent for them to win 8 games this year on that team, but they have to do a few things.

One: They have to play with some self-respect and stop listening to the press. When you suck this bad, there's nowhere to go but up.

Two: They have to play with commitment (Uh, hullo? Randy??) and give their all like players on the other teams do. Jerry Porter needs to get off his fat **** and play, and like he means it.

Three: The upstairs guys have to do their job. We have enough D to hold a team, especially like Cleveland. It's painfully obvious that Oakland got horribly outcoached the second half. Clevelands Coordinators figured out how Oakland was stopping them and made the adjustments. Oakland just kept throwing the same D on the field and wondered why it wasn't working any longer.

Four: Al Davis needs to get over himself and hire a modern GM and keep his wrinkly hide out of the management room and just enjoy the game. That way we can draft some talent, find some gems in the later rounds, sign some free agents that are truly talented rather than someone else's castoffs, and assemble a competitive team. The whole winning with the leagues losers was great for the 70's and 80's, but it's a different kind of league now. Plus you'll get a quality head coach who will actually stick around if they realize they don't have to put up with Davis's meddling crap anymore. This won't happen till the old cuss dies, which I don't wish on the fella.

Since none of these things is going to happen soon, please tune in to enjoy possibly the worst Raiders season ever. I'll tip 2-14, just to give my boys the benefit of the doubt, but 1-15 wouldn't shock me.

nicely, first they're enjoying in the NFL whilst in actuality they'd desire to be enjoying in the West Coast YMCA branch II flag soccer league. stable golly - they blow! heavily, the coach isn't the concern or the answer. they have made destructive draft possibilities, worst loose agent strikes, and function a center group of gamers that only lack expertise and journey at this point. Will it get extra desirable - particular. in spite of the undeniable fact that it quite is an prolonged highway to restoration. they're nonetheless paying off some long intense priced salaries which kills them on the salary cap rule. provide this franchise 3 or 4 years and that they are going to be lower back in the seek. they are going to be there with the 40 9'ers and Titans - all communities that have salary cap matters and a rebuilding application taking shape. of direction that comes from a Colts fan who has not had to be bothered approximately salary cap (till next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days) and whilst that occurs look out!

Usually competition and competitiveness has not come up with the formula for athletes especially the professional ones to maintain the hunger for the search of excellence, athletes, like so many other humans tend to lose their competitive edge when the effect of fat salaries sink in creating a void between it and a love for the game.

The raiders just suck the big sausage as do their fans. Most raider fans are complete losers who think they are tough and ghetto by dressing in black and silver. The raiders used to represent outlaw football and toughneck football. . even dirty football. Now all the represent is an over the hill owner who can't draft worth a lick. They are a disgrace and laughing stock of the nfl. Their fans are pansys as well.

Simple Their offensive line sucks and their defense is terrible. Their offense would be good but the can't open holes for Jordan and can't give quarterback time it all starts in the trenches and you look around the league the worse teams have terrible offensive lines

If your entire offensive line sucks,it doesn't matter how many hall of famers you hire to coach them. The most useful thing I saw an offensive lineman do yesterday was help Jordan up after he was tackled for a loss(due to the lineman's incompetence).
