I don't think so, because it's virtually impossible to judge someones age just by what they write. Some of these people you think are kids on here just might be an adult acting goofy. And kids might get on here and act more mature. You can never really know.

I can't say conclusively, but some clues do tend to give me the impression that I'm seeing the writing of a child, a teenager, a young adult, or someone nearer my own age. For me, this can be anything from vocabulary to grammatical ability, spelling, and the use (or lack) of slang phrases. Of course, I don't have any way to prove it, but don't usually feel the need to do so. As a rule, however, I definitely have a "feel" for the age of the person; and just as a guess, I'd say you are mid-teens to early 20s? :-)

A clue for me is the literacy of the answer/question. It's an assumption, I admit, but I believe the more literate the answer/question, the more maturity or age to the author. People who have literally grown up using text messages use abbreviations that make it nearly impossibly to read for someone who hasn't. I understand that when using one's thumbs on a tiny keyboard, it's better to keep it short, but, it seems to me that once on a regular keyboard on a computer, it's not necessary.

The quality of answers would indicate the maturity and understanding the answerer had, not nesessarily that persons age, though as you age, most people are supposed to mature, amny don't.

No. I'm quite surprised actually by the wisdom and wit that emerge in some of the teens' Q&A. Their youthfulness brings a fresh perspective to us bitter, older heads. Some of their Qs&As blow me away with their absolute brilliance.

When I 1st started visited answers I thought I could tell how old the answerer is...but I soon found out that ther chronological age has little to do with their answers.

As the other answerer to your question said,I can pick up on maturity more so than age. :)

you can get an idea of their maturity level, for sure. You might could even pin it down to the decade for some. Some people are more mature than their age and some people less, so I'm not sure it would work for everyone.

I usually go by the intelligence of the question and answer but I can answer as a young adult can sometimes if I just feel like it.

Not age, just maturity. There are some older people on here with the attitudes of 7th graders.
