I need some help! I had a large Dr. Pepper spill onto the floor of my minivan and I am wondering the best way to get it cleaned up! Everything is so sticky, I need some help! And by the way, for some reason there was no floor mat on that side of my van!

I had the same thing happen in my truck twice! Them first time I caught it immediately, this is what I did:

Blotted the whole area with towels, then I scrubbed it with hot/soapy water. Last I blotted dry with a clean towel. This method worked pretty good, but left a bit of residule stain, so I had to go to Wal-mart and purchase an Aerosol Carpet cleaner with a scrubbing head. This managed to take the stain out.(make sure you test the spray else wher just in case it changes the color of the carpet.)

On the second go-round, my kid spilled in the back. By the time I found it, it made sticky syrup like spot with hardened edgescarpet. The only way I could restore it was:

By taking my truck to get professionally steam cleaned. At a detailer shop it may run you $60 on up. You may be able to rent one for a bit cheaper from the grocery store,Lowes, or Home Depot.

Hope this helps -Jason
