They turn mauve. That's because Smurfs are blue, but they do have red blood, so when that comes to the surface when they're choked,blue and red make a lovely purpley mauve colour.

Purple.

The wombles are little furry creatures that live in burrows on wimbledon common. They spend their life wandering around the common picking up litter by us lazy people. They arrived in the 70s and were ahead of their time in their recycling and reuse.

Bernard Cribbons narrated (I am very sad remembering so much) and Great Uncle Bulgaria was the 'chief' womble. Bring them back, there is space on this planet for them and we need them.

The wombles are a puppet animation for kids on the BBC back in the 70s,they lived on wimbledon common and picked up litter for a living.
