I think the general perseption is that British men have more charm than other men, and are considered to be gentlemen. American men are seen to be less polite, I suppose its a culture thing.

I dunnoo...... I've never been too keen on Americans, but the guys I have met are so much sweet in general than the british, and funnier too, and they're not afraid of complimenting you.... and not in a nasty wolf whistle kind of way.
so no, I think American guys are generally sweeter than British guys :)

In my experience, men are men no matter where they are from - you will always find the ones who will treat you awfully no matter which country you look in, but hopefully you will find someone that won't. It's the flip side to the Disney dream - you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find Prince Charming.
